DIY | WREATH ORIGAMI

I came across a really cool and easy DIY project this past weekend and wanted to share it with you guys. Swedish interior design magazine Sköna hem,  featured this DIY on their website from one of it's in-house bloggers, Helena Lyth.

The paper wreath is an updated version of the origami book art we've been seeing on styled bookshelves and table tops for a few years now.

To get started, follow 3 easy steps below.  Enjoy & have fun!

Supplies needed:

1  Old paperback book
2  Colored felt
3  Stapler
4  Hard cardboard
5  Scissors or X-Acto knife

Step 1
Use a colored felt pen and soak the edging of the book, just like the photo below.

Step 2
Cut out a circle with the hard cardboard. A 20cm wide with a 4cm ring was used in the photo above.

Step 3

Create an 'S' with a single piece of paper and staple onto the cardboard ring.  Staple to the right, This way when you overlap the next piece it hides the staple, like above.

Finished and ready to be hung.
