Peace & quiet are two great words to describe Vancouver Island. As soon as the car pulls onto the ferry deck you leave the big city behind. A load slides off your shoulders resulting in calm. By the time the sailing is close to its destination, a rejuvenance has settled in for the remainder of the weekend.
Picturesque beaches from Parksville to Qualicam, abundance of gourds at a local market, signature fall cocktails and delicious hand stretched traditional Italian thin crust pizza at Cuckoo trattoria & pizzeria. Thank you De Villiers for the high level of service and great conversation. We will be back! Accommodations with family set on a treed green golf course surrounded by eagles and of course deer!
It was great spending quality time with family and breathing in clean island air. What more can you ask for in a long weekend?
