FASHION | CHANEL SPRING/SUMMER 2016 HAUTE COUTURE COLLECTION

German fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld debuts his Spring/Summer 2016 Haute Couture collection for Chanel. January 26th marked the day and the Grand Palais in Paris the location.  I've been a fan of Karl Lagerfeld for sometime now; Since my days as a fashion merchandising student.  Recently, Chanel's runways have grabbed my attention with my interior design eye.  The latest fashion show displays Chanel's models in a life size doll house surrounded by a massive faux garden.
Is it a trend for runway collections to be presented in a theatrical way?  Like a short film, music video or a play on broadway?  Stimulating backdrops act subtly to compliment and enhance the garments walking the runway.  What ever the case, I like what I'm seeing from Chanel.  It's esthetically captivating.
Check out the entire fashion show video below!

  1. I love this! Fresh and spring-like but still chic. The garden runway is so simple and so impactful.
